I got a letter in the mail saying that i will be required to participate in the ASPIRE program but it didn't say anything about what is actually is so can someone fill me in on the details?
On a side note, what's the music scene like at A&M?I'm mainly into rock and metal but from what I hear country's pretty big over at A&M. I don't really care either way but i'm just curious as to whether it's a stereotype or true^^

ASPIRE is a freshman mentor program for incoming students that hold scholarships. For one year, these students are
placed in groups that have an upperclassman mentor. The purpose of this group is to help students achieve the GPA cutoffs for their scholarships while also helping them navigate their first year in college.

I was a mentor in this program for a year. Basically, the success of individual groups depends on the commitment of the mentors/mentees. I would say many people were simply ready for the program to be over when the year came to an end.
