Hi everyone,

I'm new to this website and decided this looked like a good site to try to get some information. I want to major in accounting and saw a lot of discussions on here about accounting but I feel my main question is a little unique so I thought would ask and get everyone's opinion.

I was a college student quite a few years ago but dropped out. I started going back last fall at a community college and plan on transferring to a university next year. I already completed most of the transfer requirements from the first time I went, which included completing intro to financial accounting and intro to managerial accounting. But I took these classes around 8-9 years ago and I know I don't remember a lot of the information and knowledge. So I'm wondering what I should do to refresh myself on the knowledge before I get to the university and start taking intermediate accounting and other upper-division accounting classes. Should I re-take the intro classes? I have seen accounting books on amazon that seem similar to the textbooks. Should I buy these books and study on my own? Will I be fine to jump right into the intermediate classes without much refreshing ahead of time?

Any information that you guys can give me is greatly appreciated.
