Aspiring Architecture Student Wishing to Know Her Chances

Hi there!

I am applying to Cal Poly SLO and Pomona, USC, and UC Berkeley- all as an architecture major. I know that for the Cal Polys, architecture is an impacted program, so I'm hoping that you guys could give me some insight on my chances. I'm a bit worried that since there are so many students applying and only so little seats available, that I might not be accepted into any of my colleges. :[

I'm a fairly average student with...

-GPA 4.12W; Ranked 67 out of 533 (~12.6 percentile)
-SAT score of 1880; CR 660 M 620 W 600
-SAT II Math 630 Chemistry 660
-3 Honors; English 1, English 2, Pre-Calculus
-5 AP; Chemistry (3), Language and Comp. (3), Literature and Comp., Statistics, and Physics

and a couple ECs...

-California Philharmonic volunteer (2yrs)
-Red Cross Club (2yrs)
-Advanced Orchestra; Violinist for 5 years
-Honor Society (1yr)
-Student Aide for a past teacher (2yrs)
-200+ hours of community service (odd jobs like Rose Float decorating, Aids walks, hiking trail clean ups, etc.)
-Secretary of student run "Holiday House" business (we sell holiday themed items and gifts!)

For USC arch portfolio; my work is... pretty lame. Just some elementary watercolors and crude drawings. A couple of photographs tweaked with Photoshop.

If it matters, I'm a cantonese (is it possible to avoid being labeled Chinese? xD) female born and raised in SoCal.

I think my grades should be good enough for those schools (minus USC) but the fact that arch is impacted freaks me out a bit. Thanks for at least reading through this. :]

I'm sorry this question might seem irrelevant but how do you find time to do all these extracurriculars and AP courses and such?? I'm very curious - it seems like all the applicants have extra hours in the day or something...I live in Japan; maybe things are different??
sorry for getting off topic, but personally, I think you will get into any college you want but depending on what you want to do. I believe that certain schools look for certain kinds of applicants, yes, but if you really want to go there it'll come out. But being a college applicant myself, I'm not authority. Wish you the best of luck though!

Actually, I think I'm not really doing a lot of ECs. I've seen so many others with just such long lists. I have less stuff to do since I like to go to bed around ten, unlike some people I know that only get like 2 hours worth of sleep.

As for AP courses, they've been okay. Seems just like regular classes to me except with the summer, winter, and spring break homework. Oh and the May test crunch time. :D

bump! Can anyone tell me my chances?

Could anyone help me out? I need to know if I should apply to more back up colleges.

And I just realized I was stupid and forgot to put alternate majors on my cal poly applications. :[
