Aspiring Civil Engineering Student: UIUC

Hello everyone. This is my first post here. I'm a junior from the suburbs of Chicago and I am very interested in trying to get into U of I engineering. I'll post my stats below. I have not taken the ACT yet. I will be taking it in February. I will take the writing portion as well. Our school does not use class rank anymore for some reason. I would estimate that I am at least in the top 20%. There are a 1000 people in my grade so I'm not really sure where I go in that. I will talk to my counselor about class rank but I doubt she will be able to help me. I'm typically a good essay writer and with UIUC's prompts I should have no problem tackling that issue. I haven't completed many volunteer hours yet but I have a plan to volunteer at a Saturday School next year which should get me at least 50 hours. I have also taken Project Lead The Way classes if that is helpful in any way.I did good on the national assessments for both the classes I took(I got a 7 for CEA and I think I got a 6 or 7 for the other class). I got a 4 on my AP European History, AP Exam. I'm planning on doing Model UN and MSA for all 4 years and I plan to do BPA my Senior Year.I had already done BPA my freshman year but did not get far.The main reason I did not do BPA this year was due to monetary issues and how much the family had already spent on vacations and house renovations. In the MSA, I hold a leadership position as a council member who will have even more say in the club next year after the Seniors leave. Next year, I will be getting a leadership position in Model UN as well. I hope I have provided enough relevant information. Please tell me if I have a chance of getting into the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Engineering School.
