I attend an early college academy and I'm a senior this year.
Throughout my high school career I've taking all honors and AP courses as well as some college courses when I have time. I have about 40 college credits right now
My gpa is expected to be around a 3.4 by graduation, higher depending on how many A's I can pull. Right now its a 3.2. I'm worried that the fact that i've had to retake some classes showing up on my transcript will make it less likely that I get into a good school. The classes i retook were freshman year classes, I did a lot better in soph and junior year. My SAT score was okay, I scored a 2050 (a 700 in reading and 600 in math I heard writing doesn't really matter) I've scored a 4 on 5 AP exams (AP Lang, World History, US History, Microeconomics, and government) I also had a 34 on the ACT
I have some volunteer hours from this past summer at the hospital, this year I'm also a tutor after school. I also have club activities, I've been on Mock Trial for 4 years and this year I'm the president of the club. I'm not sure if this alone is enough though.
I'm a decent essay writer, I scored high in the writing portion of the SAT and my essays pulled me through AP exams for the most part, so I might be able to put together a good admissions essay
I'm mostly concerned with my gpa, it's fairly low, especially for a UC standard (from what i've heard)
Does anyone know what chances I might have for UC Irvine or UCLA? I'm also looking toward UC Riverside as more of a back up school, UCI is really my goal though.
Thank you for the help!

You need to calculate your UC GPA: <a href=“GPA Calculator for the University of California – RogerHub”>http://rogerhub.com/gpa-calculator-uc/
Your SAT/ACT score is very competitive but your GPA will hurt your chances. For the majority of the UC’s, the average GPA is 4.0+. UCR would be a match.
UCI: Low Reach
UCLA: High Reach
Write stellar essays and you might have a better chance unfortunately if you look at past acceptance threads, GPA is weighed more heavily than test scores and EC’s. Good Luck

I agree ^. UCR is a match, UCI is a high match. Try to pull your gpa up a notch, essays and gpa are all that you’ll need to focus on.
