One more question before we head out for our W&M weekend visit. Does anyone know if there is much support for students interested in veterinary science. My daughter hopes to major in Biology and then apply to vet school here in Ohio. Are there opportunities for aspiring vets ( advising, research, internships, volunteering, etc...)?

Thanks in advance if anyone has any info.

We do have support for aspiring vets. Just as pre-med and pre-law are not specific programs or majors at W&M they do have advising programs. Pre-vet students work with our pre-med advisor (who also works with students interested in pharmacy and dentistry), Dr. Bev Sher (btsher@wm.edu). She works with students on their course selection, internship and shadowing experiences, resume building, entrance exam practice and application process advising. We encourage any student to contact her at any time about what W&M offers by way of advising for pre-vet students.
