Weinstein’s accusers were adults when the alleged behavior too place. I think you mean Roy Moore with the 14-year-old, but then, why do you believe Moore’s accusers and not Franken’s accusers?
Edited to add: Or is it that you think Moore’s accusations are worse than Franken’s? To be sure, they are. But is it that you don’t believe Franken’s accusers, or you don’t think serial groping is bad enough to merit expulsion?

I was just reminded of the 1983 Congressional page scandal. A Massachusetts Congressman, Gerry Studds, had sex with a 17 year old male page. He was censured by the House but continued to be re-elected over and over again. Today, he would have been booted out or even criminally charged. I have no idea why this was tolerated in the 80’s, but it’s good it’s no longer tolerated.

NBC had fired commentator/host Sam Seder over what they viewed as an inappropriate tweet. Today they rehired him. I’m glad they revisited this decision. The tweet was sarcastic; he was mocking the views of Polanski defenders, not writing his own opinion.
So I have ALWAYS thought Woody Allen was gross and creepy, even before stories started coming out about him some years ago. I hate the couple of movies I’ve seen of his, and cannot for the life of my figure out who is fan base is and who does like him. Self centered and whiny. So… I can’t boycott his new movie because I never would have gone to see it to start with. But I’ve never been able to understand how he made a living making movies to start with.

Oddly, he doesn’t seem to understand why his staffers objected to him asking them to be surrogate mothers for his babies. “Ms. Admin, would you bear my child?” Yep, nothin’ wrong with that.
It is deeply discomforting to be asked to do that. I was asked once by a relative who is one of the last human beings on earth anyone should allow to raise a child. His staff may have felt the same (and even if they didn’t, HEY, we were hired to be STAFFERS, NOT SURROGATES – there is more to us than our womb!).
