More information is coming out about Rep. Trent Franks. Lots of pressure to carry a child and one woman employee was even offered $5 million. To me it is not clear if this was what I would call surrogacy (another’s egg implanted - is that correct?) or using him as a sperm donor and giving up her biological child.

Fresh Air has a really good episode on the Clarence Thomas hearings. There were several other accusers who were not permitted to testify. This is a judge who now has a lifetime appointment to a court with the final decisions on women’s rights in sexual harassment and assault cases. It is appalling:
