Hello,

I am applying to Cal State Los Angeles this month for admission next Fall 2011. I am a Child Development major and want to become an elementary school teacher.I noticed on assist.org that there are a TON of classes listed for the major that I need to complete like Astronomy, Biology, Literature 102, physics and so forth. I have everything on my IGETC completed except for my tranfer math requirements which will be complete by Summer 2010.

My main question though is if I really need to take all those courses reccommended on assist.org for admission to Cal State LA as a Child Development major? Is it possible I can just take those classes when I get to the Cal State? It's an overwhelming amount of classes already on top of the 60 units I have already completed.
