Assist Question

On assist (smc -> ucla) for my major (computer science), there are two sections of courses: one that is headed "The following courses are REQUIRED for admission to this major", and a second that is "Listed below are additional degree requirements for this major that may be met with community college courses:".

If I don't complete a course that is in this seconds section (since it isn't offered at my school), would that affect my chances for admission? I'm on the fence as it is GPA-wise, but I don't want to have to turn my spring schedule upside down to fit this course in. I'd appreciate any help.

They won't hold it against you if your CCC doesn't have the articulated course (though personally I would take all relevant courses that relate to your major)
