I currently attend community college, and come December I'll have completed a 60-credit program which the school styles as an "associate in business for transfer", which seems to not really be an actual associate's degree and really doesn't strike me as being any different from transferring 60 credits worth of classes to a four-year school.

I know my school will have info for me, but does anyone else have experience with transfer degrees/associates for transfer? Has anyone gotten one or is in the process of getting one?

I have an Associate of Arts in Teaching. Your transfer associates basically indicates that you have taken and completed a specific concentrate of classes (in your cases, a set of introductory buisiness course), which would normally be taken in a pre-major’s freshman and sophomore years in college. You can, with your application to the university, apply directly to your major (double check the required pre-reqs on your prospective college’s website to be sure). It is a degree, but it also designates that you plan to continue your studies at a university.

Congrats on graduating! When you transfer you will be considered to have Junior class standing.
