I read in an earlier post (I think it was by PBKMom) that her daughter recieved the no scholarship letter in January and then was accepted in the first wave in March and got one of the smaller merit scholarships.

So then I take it that means that there are still more Associates and Deans scholarships to be given out? Has anyone even gotten Associates? I've only seen Deans on cc so far...

oh I also forgot to ask... what kind of gpa's/sat scores do associates and deans scholars usually have? i know that not all of the trustees/presidential scholars had incredibly high sat scores, but i just want to know what the general norm is...

i got the "no trustee/presidential scholarship" letter, and found out quite a bit later that i still got Deans'. my stats were (if i can still remember them, WOW that was long time ago haha):

and ECs for good measure...
3 years varsity golf, MVP two years
volunteer at city library
several audio recording/sound design jobs
US Navy Pre-Engineering Program

sorry but just because you have similiar stats doesn't mean anything. if you have better stats, it doesn't mean anything. it depends on your application as a whole.

ya cause we know that some kids who got trustee's and presidential didn't have 2200-2300s on the SAT, and they think that they got it for other reasons, probably good essays, interviews, ec's etc., it seems like there is more to it than good stats

When I called after receiving the no-scholarship letter, I was told that only Presidential and Trustee scholarship announcement were complete. Deans and Associates scholarships would be given out up until April 1.
