Associate's Degree Question

I have plans on graduating this Fall with an AA. I decided to see an adviser to apply for graduation and to my surprise was told that I was listed as an AA-Liberal Arts instead of the AA-Business. This was an error on the college's part.
I have already taken 4 of 7 business courses required for the AA-BUS. To graduate with the AA-LA, I have to take 3 remaining courses. If I decide to take the 3 other courses remaining for the AA-BUS, It would be 6 total courses, including Business Calc, Speech, and other not-so-easy courses.

The point is, if I just take the 3 remaining courses, I'll graduate with an AA-LA with 4 of 7 required courses necessary to get into the School of Business at the University I plan to attend. If I get the AA-BUS, I may not graduate this Fall as I'd have to take 6 pretty intense courses (speech, business calc, intro to business, marketing, meteorology, connections)
I definitely want to graduate this Fall. What's my best bet? Should I try and get the AA-BUS or stick with the AA-LA then transfer to university and then take remaining courses to get into the school of business?
Your advice is appreciated.

If this was an error on part by the college, why are they not willing to correct what your major is on their end so you can get the AB instead of the AA?

Also, are you required to have an AB to transfer to the other school? In most public higher ed systems where students transfer from the CC, they are simply required to take all of the prerequisite courses to transfer as a junior over to the 4 year. Generally speaking, all of the courses you would take for that will garner you an Associate degree at the 2 year college. You could simply take the other 3 business courses and forgo the Associate degree but be able to transfer to the 4 year successfully.

When are you applying to transfer? Are you applying as a Spring transfer?

Since the business classes are likely pre-reqs in your program, taking them makes more sense. It’s not really worth it to get an AA if it means you end up behind in your program once you transfer.

I went ahead and spoke to an adviser about changing my degree from AA-LA to AA-BUS. Although the adviser wasn’t sure if the dean was going to change it due to me having already applied for graduation, a day later it was changed.

Spoke to two different advisers each in a different campus and was told that I didn’t have to take any additional electives.
I also found out that I don’t need to re-take Business Calculus in order to graduate with an AA-BUS. Somehow, the D I received was OK or they substituted it with another course. (I think Stats) I’ll probably have to retake Calc at the University anyway, but it’ll cost much less as I was being charged out of state tuition for this course ($320/credit hour)

The only courses I need to graduate with an AA-BUS are: Public Speaking, Meteorology, and Connections (IDS)

This is very relieving. Thanks for all the advice
