I am currently a rising senior who is in dual enrollment at the local community college. I am planning to graduate with an Associates of Science during my senior year. I was just wondering if it will have a good effect on my application, and whether or not it will actually speed up a 4 year program by anything significant (planning to go into Computer Science)
It will show good rigor for your HS classes. Depending on your college and what credits they will accept you may be able to shave a year or more off your time in college.
I don’t know if having an associates vs. a bunch of CC classes makes a difference…but especially like @“Erin’s Dad” says it might help you save a year or two. I would talk to someone at your state flagship about what can be transferred… even if it is all transferred, you still have to meet the requirements for the major/graduation.
