<p>I am a CT resident and I am applying to University of Houston and Texas Tech. I meet the requirements as far as rank and SAT scores for assured admission. My question is do you need to be a Texas Resident to receive the assured admission?</p>
<p>From the web sites it seems those would be for any students, but you should check with the colleges to be certain. You should also check to see if you can afford them as an OOS student.</p>
<p>I think the assured admissions /automatic admissions are for Texas residents only. </p>
<p>Auto admission from any Texas public school should apply only to in-state residents.</p>
