Assured Admissions?

I’m in the process of applying to UNC, and the application asks to indicate 3 scholarships I’d be interested in. For assured admission, say for the Kenan-Flager Business School, what does assured admission mean? I’m applying as a biomedical engineering major, but I’d also like to take classes in econ and business as a whole, so if I were to enroll in UNC, would I have to have the assured admission to take classes in the business school? Is assured admission the same as gaining admittance to both undergrad and grad school at the same time?

An explanation of assured admissions at UNC would be very helpful, thank you.

Take a look at the links below that may help answer your questions. Assured admissions are offered to applicants as a tool to match top students with their interests by assuring their acceptance into some of the more competitive majors at UNC. Some of the programs are dual degree, coupling an undergraduate path with admission into a masters program (or even a doctoral pharmacy degree).

Carolina encourages a broad education so being on a biomedical path would not preclude you taking courses outside of your major. My daughter was in the Environmental & Science Communication dual degree program and took a number of business courses through Kenan-Flagler that tied in with her major.

Best of luck to you.
