Hi, I’m a sophomore in high school right now and am set on going to a military school.
I have a 96 average, 2100 SAT, take all advanced classes, play football, coach modified wrestling, and will be captain of the lacrosse team.
My only problem is I am diagnosed with minor exercise induced asthma. I only use my inhaler before games, never for practices.
The two times I have ever had any asthmatic symptoms was an 1000 yard sprint, with up-downs(Which I finished) and a 3 mile run in 20 degree weather.
I’m pretty sure I can pass all tests for admission… 500 sit-ups, 30 pull-ups, 6 minute mile by 6th grade…
But will I be DQed for asthma?
Thanks!

I’m pretty sure you can get a waiver for asthma

There is a very good USAFA board with people who could definitely help you out with your question.

The DoDMERB section at the above site would be a better help. One of the DoDMERB officials is active on that site.
