I'm looking to major in astrophysics in college, and am interested in participating in a summer program. I live in Southern Florida--anything close to home makes it easier.

I already looked at programs on the NASA website, but barely any are in Florida. Of the ones that are, very few have to do with astronomy/astrophysics, and I have to live in a 50-mile radius of the center (which I don't) and be able to provide of my own transportation.

I don't have any money trees growing in my backyard, so preferrably something affordable or where there is a scholarship opportunity available.

Also, are there any separate scholarship competitions that I could enter in? If I can, I need to earn scholarship money for college.

I am currently a female sophomore and am Hispanic (Dominican).

Thank you for any info, suggestions, or knowledge! :)
