Has someone taken this class? I remember sitting through a lecture of his at CalDay a couple of years ago, and he sounds very dynamic. Is this class suitable at the freshman level? It still is surprisingly open at this stage. Would appreciate any input.

hes amazing. took this fall 07. doesnt require much work if u have some intuition in physics. but yea i feel spoiled now cuz i thot all my lcetures were gonna be like his. do it haha u wont regret taking it. makes ure frosh year so much more memorable

Amazing class- my D took it fall 2005 and it remains her favourite class

Great class for freshman year. Actually, one of the best classes available for a 1st year to take to broaden their scope and enjoy a class. Took it Fall 07 and it was very relaxed, interesting, and a great way to bridge from high school to college. Plus, it satisfies the Physical Science breadth for those people who are not science-oriented.

The advantage of a class like that is that a lot of the students are going to be freshmen, so it's a great way to make friends from other "fields". So if you're taking math and econ classes, it's a chance to make friends with people into history or english or whatever.
