Astrophysics?

Im wondering, is astrophysics a field thats hard to get a good job in? Im sure ill dabble in both physics and engineering at first to see which interests me more, but my main goal now (patent attorney) seems like a great high paying and interesting job. Recently as ive been reading, and from my favorite astrophysics dr. neil tyson, im starting to wonder if that migth be a great field to go into...worried about jobs though. anyone know anything about this?

my teacher had a degree in astrophysics and the scope for jobs is really minimal.

Don't worry about the job...Study what you like the most...that's the way to go. If you are good you will get a job. I don't think there will be dearth of university positions for top astrophysicists. Good Luck!
