@acquaformosa My S has the same, all checkmarks, part of EA1, but no checkmark next to “decision rendered” or whatever they say. I haven’t checked today. My S is not NMSF. I think if your S is not NMSF he will find out tomorrow. Not only does the website say the 15th, it says the 15th at 5:00 p.m. So I think we’ll have to sit tight until then!
Thanks, @EOTYN1. I’m so silly… I think I’ve been to that web page a half dozen times today, but completely missed the notification date/time that’s clearly listed. So yes… we will sit tight and I assume it’ll be 5pm local time (Mountain time zone). Cheers.
Just admitted! 29 ACT, 3.91 W, 7 AP’s and great EC’s
My D was just accepted! 3.73 W, 1330 SAT. I wasn’t hopeful, but am so pleased that this is an option for her!
My D got in last week. Gpa 3.9 uw,4.7w; 11 AP act 34
Rejected. OOS. 31 ACT, 1400 SAT, 3.4 UW/4.05 W, 7 AP’s, checked box for recruited athlete, excellent EC’s in addition to athletic achievements. Took great care in his application. He was ready to commit to the coach if he got in today.
Rejected. Most likely because of my poor GPA. Congrats to everyone accepted!
Accepted, OOS, 32 ACT, 3.83 UW, 7 APs, lots of ECs/leadership/volunteering/etc. Excited!
Waitlisted. Thoughts on chances? They do not ask for a new test or grades. Just that they will advise in March. Wondering how many are waitlisted. Ugh
Accepted yesterday! OOS, 35 ACT, 3.5 UW, 6 APs, EC’s include volunteering, music, DECA, leadership, worked super hard on the essay (which might have been one of the things they liked!) Congrats to everyone else accepted
Man! Just take a look at this group of admitted students into Barrett. No wonder it remains the best Honors College in country–such impressive and motivated students. Forks up, Barrett Devils.
Yes indeed, Barrett is #1. My D is looking forward to attending
I meant Barrett is the # 1 honors college. I know there are many good schools and people will choose what feels right for them. Best wishes to everyone with their decisions
S18 accepted! Congratulations to those accepted and hugs to those deferred or declined.
No approvals since December?
Wanted to update that my S took advantage of the re-review process for students who applied by the November 1st deadline and was accepted last week. He will be attending in the fall. It’s too late for this year, but for those reading in future years, if you are denied and attending Barrett is important to you, please familiarize yourself with the Barrett website and make sure you are aware of the deadline for requesting a re-review. Currently, the website indicates that potential re-review is only offered to those who apply in the Early Action I pool.
I am the parent of a current senior at Barrett. Feel free to post questions. Absolutely love Barrett and so does he. He is graduating in 4 yrs with a BS in Chemistry and a minor in business. As a Barrett student, you get priority registration, guaranteed housing all 4 years and the best dining facility on campus.
Hey! INTERNATIONAL STUDENT (India)
I got accepted to ASU on 1/19
SAT:1280(the only weakness)
GPA:3.87/4 (calculated from US grading system)
IELTS:7.5
Great ECs and about 300 +hours volunteer services
Stupendous recommendation letters as well. Since I am an international student I didn’t particularly know about Barrett college but realized that I could be considered as far as my GPA is concerned but now is it too late to submit the application?
Also were All the scholarships sent with the admission letter or separately since I haven’t got any notification about that. Would be grateful if anyone is willing to answer
Major:Mechanical engineering systems at Polytechnic
Accepted to Barrett on 2/16
SAT: 1300 (single) 1320 (superscore)
GPA: 3.89
4 APs (5,5,4,3)
strong extracurriculars in athletics
Was admitted to ASU with Provost scholarship
Good luck to all those who applied!
@mojojojo23 the priority deadline for Barrett has passed, but I believe that you can still apply. Have you received the mailed acceptance letter from ASU? Scholarships were included in the mailed admission letter, but not listed in the online portal where I initially saw that I was accepted. Unfortunately, I believe that it is harder to get a scholarship as an international student
