I would love to hear from students who attended the downtown campus. My son is choosing NOT to attend the Cronkite school because he doesn’t like the downtown campus. He loved the program but wanted to get the college life and sports enthusiasm of a “real campus” He was told he could not live in a Tempe dorm and attend the downtown campus.
We are in exactly the same situation! Sports Journalism? My son is considered a communication major this year and transfer into the Cronkite program later. He and I both wanted him to be on the main campus for his freshman year.
My older son’s major is at the Downtown campus but has an apartment in Tempe. Many of his classes have sections at the main campus or online. If he has classes downtown, he hops on the free ASU bus. It is really no big deal.
Hi Ojaicc, what did your son end up doing? If my daughter decides on ASU (journalism) we will be in the same situation - really wanting to be on the main campus.
