My kid is participating in ASU’s Early Start program that begins 7/31 and runs for 2 weeks. I’m guessing other colleges within ASU have the program too but my daughter’s is part of the Math/Stats department. After looking into it, it was a pretty easy decision to attend:

I know some people who have attended early start–a real no-brainer to attend! ASU does a solid job in using data to drive programs, and early start came out of a study that showed participation increased graduation rates significantly. Worth the investment in its students. Congrats!
daughter attended it 3 years ago when she was a frosh, I liked that she could move into the dorms early and get her room organized before her roomie arrived. I do not think it helped her academically necessarily, but it did help her get to know the area better (we are from out of state) her suitemate also arrived early so we were able to have dinner and get to know her family but missed all the regular move in parent info/events.
