ASU or Penn State for Computer Science? Please Help!

I'm currently enrolled at a California community college and so far I have two options, Penn State or Arizona State for computer science. I have see both college's rankings and it seems Penn State > ASU. I have posted questions on ASU and PennState reddit page and both seems to have good reputation among students and employers. I was wondering if you can help me out finalizing one. I do not mind moving to Pennsylvania or Arizona. Currently I'm very confused on which one to choose.

Thanks You!

Idk about ASU, but as an in-stater, I can tell you PSU will give you next to 0 FA. If money is an object, I’d be hard pressed to justify PSU, it’s one of the most expensive publics in the country.

What about UCs and CSUs?

CS is a major where differences in the lower division CS courses can make life difficult for transfer students in terms of getting subject credit for course work previously taken. You may want to investigate which of your course work will count toward requirements for the CS major at each school.

??

Are you a Calif resident? If so, then unless your parents are willing and able to pay the high costs of going OOS, it doesn’t make much sense to choose ASU or PSU over a Calif school.

How much will your parents pay each year?

It really does NOT matter which school you attend. There are many very good CS programs at CSUs, UCs, and a whole bunch of schools.

You’re not going to get paid more by attending PSU or ASU. Employers are going to pay the CSULB Comp Sci grad the same as a PSU grad.

Employers respect 100’s of CS program.
