ASU or USC

Hello!,

I ll get to the point. I have been offered admission from Arizona State University and University of Southern California for M.S in Computer Science.

I would like to know what college should I join. Also, please tell me which college is better in the following criteria:

Research work

Industry connections for internship

Career opportunities

Cost of living, for living frugally while studying there

I know that both colleges are strong in the criteria I have stated above, but I want to know which is better.

The reason why I have asked about both research work as well as career opportunities is because I have not yet made up my mind about research, but I am considering it strongly.

1-3: USC
4 - Tempe

Asu >>> usc

For Comp Sci, 'SC is ranked #26, while ASU is #58.

Both are good, but academically one has the much better rep.

I’m curious as to why andrewt787 put ASU above USC?

The simple fact that USC is so much more selective than ASU makes me want to say that since you got into USC, GO THERE! ASU is a good school but it doesn’t command the respect that USC does. Although if finance is an issue, going to USC could be difficult. If you can find scholarships though, USC all the way!
