ASU Supply Chain Management or UC Irvine Operations and Decision Technologies

Up until this point I was confident that I would transfer from my community college to ASU and study Supply Chain Management. I am from California and I have a 3.7 GPA, after this semester ends I will have 57 units. I could transfer into ASU right away starting next spring, but it would cost me roughly 24k a year plus housing. I’d prefer not to pay that much and I was told that ASU does not offer merit based scholarships to it’s transfer students. If you have any information on the scholarship that transfer students receive then that would be very helpful because right now I’m assuming I would likely have to pay the full amount. When I went looking at California schools (so I could get in-state tuition) I couldn’t find many that even had a supply chain management program or something similar. It seemed all of the top programs for supply chain management were out of state. Stanford offers something, but that’s clearly out of reach. I found UCI’s Operations and Decision Technologies major (almost 15k a year plus housing), which I really don’t know too much about. I only had the small paragraph on the schools site to base that off of. Not sure how much different that would be in comparison to ASU’s program. I want to know if anyone can help me find some clarity in this situation as I need to decide what to do. Another dilemma is that if I choose to go for UCI then I will need to wait another semester to take Calc 2, then I will have met all the requirements that I need to transfer. That seems almost like a waste of time to wait another semester to take one course that I’m not even sure I’ll need to know any of it once the class is over. Let me know if you can help with anything.

Thank you

Cal Poly Pomona offers a Technology and Operations Management degree with a specialization in Supply Chain Management. It would be instate for California and cheaper than ASU.
