ASU Tempe vs CU Boulder for CS

OOS student to both ASU and Boulder College of Engr so really trying to get some pros/cons of what the college and department have to offer. Heard through this group that both are good. ASU is upcoming (large student population) and CU is well-established and reputed in some departments. Both seem to have good classes (CU on paper sounded to have more different areas of CS and classes). CU is definitely more expensive since ASU provides larger merit scholarships over 4 years.

Any thoughts about CU Boulder - College of Engr in terms of student/class size and ability to get classes etc? If some one has first-hand experience with the program at CU for BS CS.

Thank you

Son got in but didn’t consider. For aero and physics, CU has a sparkling reputation.

Check career outcomes. Both are likely solid.

Can’t answer your specific questions though.

With top programs, hopefully they offer adequate amount of sections to get classes.

Ask for 4 year graduation rates in engineering.

But if cost is at all a concern, don’t strain your family.

Good luck.
