at an Ivy: good student and recruited athlete

4.2 weighted, 4.0 unweighted top 5% of well regarded public school
2100 SAT :( but
National Merit Semifinalist
3 APs with 5's, 6 more on the schedule for this year (taking "most challenging course load offered" with success)

8 varsity letters, state champion/runner up over 4 year career in track/XC
from a small, generally under represented state

pretty good ECs considering academic and sports commitments: president of a couple of clubs, summer volunteer in a cool immigrant program
attendance at highly regarded university's summer program for gifted blah blah
2nd chair violin in strong HS orchestra
essays are coming along. i'm a good writer
great recs
oh, I'm also a girl (not necessarily a plus, I've heard)

ivy coaches are calling like mad. how will I know for sure (or will I ever) that they really love me? they're flying me out, collecting my transcripts and calling weekly. is this for real? Can I really pick the one I love and EA or ED where possible?
Should I keep courting my safeties?

Thanks for advice, and I know I'm lucky. why do we value sports so much? not fair to my musical/theatrical/debator buds who would give their first born for a phone call from the person who grooms the ivy on the admissions building.

wow lucky. if theyre calling u as frantically as you claim, that means that do infact really want you.

pick the best from those that are asking for you urgently, and if u apply, i sure youll get in (very likely)

Being a D1 level athlete is about the best accomplishment you could hope for, taking precedence over IMO medals or winning Intel, and so on.

As a fellow Xc/track person, Im just curious as to what your times are?
thanks

mile 5:05 3200 11:08 800 2:14 10,000 18:30

woops 5000 (xc course) 18:30

In at any Ivy that recruits you. Grades and scores are plenty high enough for a recruited athlete.

you’re making my day, bandit

Yeah you’re definitely in anywhere you want to go to college.

Congratz!
