Heh, I know acceptance rate for RPI is rather high, but since it was on the 'new ivies' list I figured that the academics must be rather strong.
Cornell, hmmm, do you think I even come close to having good enough stats?

i think ur below average for cornell and it'd be a reach for you.

Well, she has really good ECs. If she gets that 2200+ and keeps her grades up, I think she has as good a shot as anyone. Female engineers are really desirable.

Thanks for responding, and what should I improve upon?

hey...great app! I think you have fair chances at all those schools. Raise that SAT score to 2200 and you'll be better off though. You're like me in a lot of ways. I've noticed that most of your EC's started in 10th grade? Same here...and your SAT is about the same as mine haha. Love for art? Me too... Those EC's are impressive but the only thing I might recommend is demonstrating a little leadership character in your activities. Other than that, excellent accomplishments!

ps - I'd appreciate it a lot if you would visit my own chance thread too :]

Thankyou, I appreciate your response. Yep, I'm trying leadership...recently I got a leadership position on my math team... I suspect I will actually be doing all the work because the captains are preseidents of nine other clubs.

Okay, I'm looking for your thread...

considering everything put together, i'd say that brown is the only reach school on the list, everything else seems realistic and practical

you could definitely add more reach schools to the list!

Brown, being reach....is there anything besides improving my leadership status that you think my help my chances?

There's a lot that could increase your chances. Start by trying for a 2400 instead of a 2200, after all, the test is out of 2400. Try for 800's on the SAT II's, as well.

You could take more AP classes senior year (colleges see the senior schedule) self-study APs or C++ and notify the college, or take some PSEO classes at a local college if your school will allow you.

Why not take the Comp Sci AB test or the Stat test? You're studying them anyway.

Whether or not you meet your goals, you should apply to other selective schools in addition to Brown (assuming you want to go to any other Ivy). College admissions is a little bit of luck, and it helps to play the odds.

lol, AIM time.... so important =-)

thankyou so much for the suggestions....
Heh....yes I will be doing the ap stats test....I looked into the compter one more so and I found that there is more I'm going to have to study than programming....but I shall still attempt.
Yeah, I'll step up my goals of my scores....
