As an athlete, can I transfer from a DIII school to another DIII (or II or I) and play, or will I be benched for a year if I transfer? Also, if I got several full rides (academic) coming out of high school, what should I expect as a sophomore applying to similar schools? What would I have to do in college to keep the same offers coming in?

what sport are you playing? bball, football, baseball? and what DIII school do you go to. You need to be more specific

this was a general question. any info?

hi!

i might be transferring from one d3 school to another, and i'm guessing it's the same for all sports (i'm tennis), i'd be playing in the fall, and so i don't think you have to take a season off..good luck!

As one varsity level athlete to another, I would call the coach and ask these questions because it is important. Obviously, one can go down, but transferring makes it a different situation. I know, at our school, one girl who wanted transfer got referred and then recruited. Just call a DII school. I would imagine and DI would be difficult depending how good the school is in the sport.
