<p>Hey - I read that Stanford does do some athletic scholarships. My d is an avid basketball player, 4A school, class rank about 15. On basketball varsity since Freshman. Haven't taken SATs yet. </p>
<p>What's the best way to go about meeting the coaches? Are the summer basketball camps worth it?</p>

Please remember that Stanford is a Div 1 team and plays in the PAC 10 and hence the competition for basketball spots will be very competitive. </p>

<p>from people i met at stanford, they did not need to reach out to the coaches. coaches knew of their accomplishments and their high school teams were successful, so the coaches reached out to them.</p>
