Adding some perspective as a girl

Swimming: Exeter has a really strong team but Andover girls have been kicking major but the last couple years. Their top swimmers go to TOP TOP TOP DI programs. Miss Porter's is also (finally) building a pool and their team gets better and better every year. However, their coach has left the school. Choate, Loomis, and Suffield girls also faired well and are strong programs

Hockey: NE prep hockey is some of the best high school hockey in the nation. For guys I would say Avon (as much as I dislike to say it), Westminster, Salisbury and Choate. For girls, Westminster, and Choate... though I know Loomis had a pretty good team a few years ago. I've also heard St. Georges in RI has a good program

Lacrosse: Girls LAX: Westminster, Taft, GA, and Loomis.

Crew: Miss Porter's, and Groton are always strong girl's teams

Softball: Miss Porter's, Deerfield, and Williston have been the top Class A teams the past 4 years. Loomis and Choate have a good history but have been really struggling the last few years. Suffield is a strong Class B program Westminster has downsized their program but as a result had a good run this past season. They also have some students who have been working with an awesome coach in the off-season (privately) and is that coach might be working with some younger Porter's players as well.

Field Hockey: Hotchkiss.

Volleyball (girls): Choate, Exeter, and Taft have been the leading programs. Miss Porter's had a great last season but might be rebuilding next year. Good coachin staff there

More on Andover's athletic fields:

Baseball field leaves a little something to be desired, but not many ne prep schools have great bball fields. The exceptions would be Deerfield's state of the art field, and Westminster's basic but very nice and level one.

Football stadium actually has concrete seats, which is awesome and is pretty nice. Another nice field is Cushing's great turf field with lights.

I tried to go back to athletics but it said I wasn't authorized to view that page or whatever.

"Wrestling: Loomis-Chaffee is the place to go for young wrestlers, as their program is on top now, producing multiple all americans in the past few years. However, Exeter has probably the best historic program and the best coaching out of the new england preps."

If you are a serious wrestler, Blair is the top school in the country for wrestling.

Running- not too many prep schools have a lot of kids going on to run D1. Nick Blixt is one, of course (Deerfield). Blair usually has one or two every year.

Best of NE Prep Hockey
D1: Avon, Salisbury, Nobles and Greenough
D2: Brooks, St Mark's

Thanks, bigblue.
