My son is a junior. He has a 3.9 gpa unweighted. His SAT score was 2210. He goes to the #1 High School in NJ. He is also a wrestling state qualifier and was undefeated this year. The Princeton wrestling coach contacted him and said that he wants to meet with him after the wrestling season is over.

I know that Princeton does not give out athletic scholarships. However will they help us obtain other scholarships? We make too much money to get financial aid, but not enough to afford Princeton.

I doubt you’ll get much help looking for outside scholarships, but there are quite a few out there (especially for student athletes), so don’t lose hope. If you don’t get aid, then you can afford Princeton. It might make more financial sense for your son to go elsewhere, but in absolute terms, it would be financially possible. Also bear in mind that depending on your son’s career interests, it might be worth paying the extra money (e.g. investment banking). What high school does your son attend?
