What are you guys thinking about for sports at D-mouth.

I was thinking I would do like intramural crew...and maybe sophmore year try out for the lightweight crew team. I've never rowed in my life...but I want to try something totally off the wall. And its not like I can play basketball. Anyway...any thoughts.

Hockey to start with. After that, I want to see what people I get to like and know are doing.

Idk, I'm sooooo sick of swimming, but i know i'll swim rec at the very least. Need to get my times down to where they were soph year when i worked my butt off lol. Polo would be good, but i'm a little too small for posting up in college. I'd def have to just be a driver.

Might try to play club volleyball if the teams cool. Yah, a bunch of my friends have started crew in college and have done really well. One of my family friends actually rowed on the women's olympic teams in Athens.

And no blu, I don't play soccer, but I'll play it intermurally. I'm such a sucker for pick-up games of any sport.

Don't do intramural crew; intramural crew is for pυssies. You should try out for the real thing. They take a lot of walk-ons each year, especially lights. If you are a dedicated person, you'll really enjoy it.

Really...I'm just afraid I'll overextend myself first term and set myself up for failure.

I'll continue to run on my own / find a group of gorgeous ex-varsity athlete boys to run with... right blu? (;)-ing here, sort of.)

Maybe intramural soccer, if I feel like reliving my some of my more spectacular team-sport failure days!

I'll run with you. I ran yesterday with my best female friend who is a great x-country runner, and i'm sore as heck. I'm gonna start running in the mornings now that my coach isn't gonna hold mornings this season.

I just want to snowboard

and learn JUDO

Excellent, lol. I'm completely putting off my morning run right now by wasting so much time on CC.... It's just so hot outside and it's hard to get myself motivated to run alone day after day. Can I borrow you now for morning runs? ;)

It so hot outside...you crazy californians.

LOL

right now it is 50 degrees in Hanover. Some one is probably walking around in shorts thinking that it is a heatwave

heheh i can imagine next year, that person would be me..

hopefully, i'll play volleyball

oh its definitely a heat wave in new hampshire. 57 here on the seacoast (southern new hampshire)!

it would also appear to unofficially be hawaiian shirt day at my school.... seen more today than ever before.

for all of you who are worried about dartmouth winters, winter in new england is worth it even if you dont like the snow (and i do) because it makes the first weeks of spring so amazing... everybody's outside, reading, sleeping, playing frisbee... and everyone's smiling.

(or maybe thats just cause its finally senior spring)

Actually, I live in Michigan, but I'm on spring break with my family @ our Florida condo. So, while it's difficult to get motivated in 85 degree heat, I don't think I'll have to deal with this problem too often next year.

Haha, that'd be me if I was there... Friends of mine and I made a pact that, when we return from Spring Break, we're pulling out the springtime attire even if it's still 45 degrees (as it was when we left).

actually, i went for a run today at 4:00 and it was only like 62 degrees out or something. My neighbor had on a light sweater to run in, but it was windy as heck. Running down Old 99 was like running in a wind tunnel. Oh wait, they designed our pool retardedly so I swim in one everyday...
Where's IvyH2O? There's a swimmer for ya.

haha...that means it was warmer in the windy city.

haha...74 degrees today...with t-storms. nice and spring-like
17 hours...20 minutes till landing on Decision Beach....yikes!!!

hey handsonthedash...I'm here.

How so? I swim in one everyday!! lol...
Hopefully, I'll be in tomorrow so we can all excercise together!!! Although I'll have 2-a-days 3X/Week, I'll still find time to run with the CC'ers (especially those of you who are females!)

2-a-days... those are completely, utterly vile. Sincere condolences. :o

As I'm a female CC-er who runs CC (cross-country, not College Confidential), sign me up to take a virtual run with you! In all seriousness, looks like we'll need to have a CC-reunion running group next year...

hahaham i'm down, i was thinking of how dimensions and bulldog days are going to be no training days, and league champs are the next week, sections two after that. I'm def gonna have to run or hop in the pool during Dimensions.

Now, the Dartmouth pool is old, but its better than the Penn pool I swam in all summer. It buzzes underwater; though I like the Penn gym better. They have like rock climbing stuff, and that was wear we saw 4 of the 6 attractive girls in Philadelphia.

Ivy, you somehow got me to get up this morning and do an ab workout. Darn you.

its good for ya...
