ATM machines

What banks (other than Wachovia) have ATM's on UF campus?

I think Bank of America also has ATMs at the Reitz Union and The Hub.

ATM stands for Automatic Teller Machine.

So your title is grammatically incorrect.

there is a generic ATM outside of gator dining corner

Be careful with that one, b/c you might get charged by you bank carrier if you use it.

As stated above, other than Wachovia, Bank of America.

Tzais01 and ASMAJ thank you for the Bank of America info.
I had looked into Wachovia but they don’t get good reviews.

Dabigdawg72 I wasn’t looking for an English lesson just banking advice.

I don’t want my daughter having trouble with a bank that charges just to talk to a teller like Wachovia does. I would like her to have access to an ATM for cash on campus without extra charges. If anyone knows of any other ATM’s on campus please list the bank.

Thanks!

I’m in the ATM business and people commonly refer to them as ATM machines. I don’t, but I hear it all the time. Even the mass produced generic stickers sold by the millions to the ATM industry, which we purchase to put on our ATM’s read, “ATM MACHINE”.

With that out of the way, Bank of America has an ATM in the Reitz Student Union. Wachovia has a sponsorship agreement with UF and they sell Wachovia hard to the students. My son, a junior, has done all of his banking with Bank of America since he arrived on campus by using the ATM at Reitz, or the nearby Bank of America branch. I do not work for BoA, but have banked with them, both business and personal, for years.

ain’t that the truth. Wachovia isn’t bad as far as banks go (at least with fees), though I just got a bunch of mail about policy changes now that they got absorbed by Wells Fargo. I recommend using a bank with a higher yield savings account and then just transferring periodically into Wachovia the amounts you need because their savings account is quite literally 0.1% interest (I got 18 cents in interest on a couple thousand dollars a few months ago!)

Good to know about BoA, since that’s what we have already. I think I’ll stay with what we’ve got. Thanks for the info, folks! And, thanks for the question OP. :)
