Is it a bad idea to attach a resume in additional information section of commonapp? I know some colleges don't want resumes but what about NYU?
Also, is it bad if you don't put anything in the additional information section? Would it work against you?

I have the same question… If we have had job positions do we need to attach a certificate thing that proves that we’ve done the job or something?

I put stuff in the additional information part just because “Positions held” didn’t give me enough space for one of my ecs

My son included his resume in the additional information portion of the Common App on his NYU ED application last year. He is now a freshman there- it can’t hurt, especially if there is information you have no way to convey other than through a resume.

I attached my resume to all of my applications.

Only send it if it’s actually worth sending.

I agree - only attach resume’ if it has a lot of new info NOT repeated in the common app. I used the “Additonal Info” section to do an abreviated bullet list of important items not previously covered -used MS Word.
