have a recommendation from the ministry of education.

My essay work is solid. Also, my recommendations are all excellent (from school teachers).

Dunno, beacuse I’m an international student too, but imo the SAT scores are pretty low…

Pretty much unpredictable. Lots of internationals like you have gotten into the Ivy League but also lots of them got rejected.

Whoa you have amazing ecs. Even with those sats i think you can get in a couple of ivys. But bring your sats up and you’ll have an excellent shot.

I think you have a great shot, even with the SAT scores as they are now. Although just to be on the safe side try and breach 2000  And good luck! :)

You have amazing ecs…!!!

Good for you and good luck!!!:)

SAT1 is a bit too low.

thanks, all of you ! I’ll try to get over 2000, maybe even 2100 on the SAT. tnx for the support

though I have a question for CERMI: how did you fill out the Current Year Courses section on common app ? cause it’s not even near my school system :/

First Semester/Trimester Second Semester/Trimester

? ?

I’ll use first and second column for the first and second half of the yera (almost like a semesters) and the last column for subjects that didnt fit into the first columns (there are too few lines, we have like 13-14 subjects).

Not sure that’s the right way, but that’s what I consider to be the best option.

right. i have 15 subjects a year too so i don’t which to write. a friend had sent an inquiry so when they get back to him i might know. i hope so.

btw: what are u applying ? and how much did you get on SAT ?

I did the same of Cermi completing the CommonApp

Btw, I’m European too, Italian  Where are you from exactly?

I’m form Czech rep., but I guess you asked primarily carterwr since he’s either from Italy or Slovenia. My tip is Slovenie just before the borders with Italy.

Have you already decided your schools?

I’m from croatia  and which schools are you applying ?

I haven’t decided yet, I’m thinking of applying for Cornell, Georgetown, University of Chicago, maybe Brown…Since I’m an Intl student and my language of instruction is Italian I hope they disregard my W section which definetely sucks!

^ Yeah, don’t worry about it, you’ll just have to send your TOEFL in, right?

hope so :)

Luckily Cornell and Brown both wave the Toefl ( I scored 690 in CR, so I’m save ! heheheh), but for the other schools, I’m taking it next week.

I have 690 too and after some time I made a list of 12 schools not requiring TOEFL; 8 of which have no app fee, so I wont take TOEFL at all…

why not? I know it’s kind of boring (5 hours of a Sunday morning wasted for a stupid test) but maybe it can still be useful. Which schools are you applying for?
