Hi, y’all!
So long story short, I attempted to transfer to the College of Education at Texas A&M with 50+ pre-requisite hours and a 3.90 GPA. They want to review my spring grades. I could only take two classes this semester due to unexpected leg surgery, so I took Texas & Federal Government and should have two As on my transcript.
I think something that is really hurting me is how sporadic my hours are and how I don’t have an employment history. I had five neck to waist spine surgeries in the last four years and my doctors just got me to a point where I can actually attend school full time. Is it worth expressing this concern to the school?
Thanks in advance for your input!
God Bless.
Megan
I would be shocked if you didn’t get in. Sit back, relax, and wait for the acceptance to roll in. Did you apply to UT-Austin? Because you would probably be able to get in there as well and they have a top 10 ranked program. And if the information about your neck/back surgeries is already included in some part of your application then I wouldn’t bother. If it isn’t, it might be beneficial, but I would hardly think it’s necessary given your gpa.
Thanks for the input! Yes, I also applied to UT. It’ll be a bit of a dilemma if I get into both schools, but I kind of feel like it’s a long shot. I don’t mean to sound conceited or anything of the like but I was kind of surprised I didn’t get into A&M without them needing to review my spring grades, considering my GPA. I know A&M can get very competitive, however.
Thank-you again! You helped ease my anxiety!
