Hi! I'm currently a Junior in a public High School. What is this deal with transcripts. Nobody ever helps me, I am so lost on how it works. I'd like to get started on my college applications this summer. I have a lot of absences too. Does that pop up there. What is on my transcript. Do my AP scores show too. What do I submit into college for them to review whether or not to accept me. The transcript? Do absences affect you? I had my wisdom teeth pulled where I was out for two weeks- I missed another week because I broke down. I'm not writing this because I want pity. I just want somebody to straight up tell me. Where and How do my absences affect me.

I know nothing about college applications and transcripts. I need an honest reply.

Ask your counselor what shows up on your transcript. If you don’t want to do that, they don’t know, or you don’t believe them, order a transcript and look at it yourself.

No one is going to know what your school puts on your transcript.

attendance may or may not show but it DOESN’T MATTER: colleges only care about your grades.

AP/SAT/ACT scores may be reported too, but the colleges eventually, will require official scores to be sent to them in order to be considered.
