I’d be coming from Michigan and have always been enticed by NYC and city life in general from public transit to food. Currently attending a LAC that does not offer Engineering, hence the reason I plan to transfer for Spring 2017 semester. Are out of state students attending a CUNY a prevalent occurrence? Are there any other affordable Engineering schools for OOS students(26 ACT, 3.6 GPA).

You can try Cornell, Bingmington, Columbia, Syracuse, and Stony Brook. There aren’t many universities in NY that are around the same level or better than City College’s engineering department. If you can get into the engineering major of your choice at CCNY, you can open many opportunities with your future career. Many people from CCNY have been hired by reputable IT corporations, and etc. The only thing about CCNY, is that it may not have the same level of funds like the colleges that I listed above, but CCNY’s engineering department is solid.
