I’ve been looking into the bachelor’s program for Development Studies at Lund University, Sweden. I’m thinking that since I’m interested most in the sociological aspect of development studies, I may as well earn an additional BA in sociology if I can manage my time well and keep up with the additional degree. I’m currently taking a few online courses through Kent State University and they are very easy for me to get good grades in. I’m thinking that since I can’t earn a Sociology Degree (English-taught) at Lund, I’ll do distance learning through a well-known and accredited US school and earn the sociology degree that way. Do you think this will be too risky or impractical? Lund only teaches students one course at a time, so I shouldn’t be terribly busy, but I also don’t want to be overburdened by the online work as well. I would only get the additional degree if it’s completely covered by scholarships, but do you think this will be possible with a 3.9 gpa and 29 ACT? Any advice would be greatly appreciated, as well as recommendations for good, accredited schools with distance learning programs that aren’t time-demanding. Thanks so much!
