Attending more than one CC- West Los Angeles

I am currently attending Santa Monica College, leader in UCLA transfers.

It's also extremely crowded and i never got my choice of classes, incluiding this semester.

Would UCLA look down on the fact that i will be attending more than one CC?

If someone attended West LA College, can someone tell me about that CC?

I am applying for Fall 2006.

i have attended a total of 5 colleges, within 3 districts.

I dont know if they look down on that, i highly doubt it. I am doing the TAG to UCSD but i am also going to apply to UCLA and UCB..
I attended my various CCs simutaneously...
Based on what the councelors told me, you arent going to be transfering from X CC, you end up transfering from all of them. For example if your completing the IGETC, each section would be certified by the school it was completed in, and they would send in individual transcripts. .. you probaly already knew that.
Anyhow, i dont think it will impact you negativley at all, especially if staying in that college only slows you down.

acually, thats news to me, my counselor told me that the last cc of attendence certifies the igetc.

well, they may certifie it but if you do the sections in diffrent colleges it comes from that school.

For example in my case i took Philosohpies in MiraCosta. In MiraCostas IGETC the phils i took are on there, but when we viewed the equivalencies in Grossmont college they werent on there, But i still meat the requirments, b/c the UCs consider that section as "met" from that school based on those rules.

does that make sence? sorry it sounds confusing even to me .

no makes perfect sense. IN the begining i kind of thought u were saying one would have have it certified in every CC, but i now i understand u were saying that if a class is on one CC's IGETC list, but not on the other, it's still cool.

Malishka, are u applying this year? What's ur GPA and major?

i am applying this October to UCLA and UCSD for spring, not sure if ucla takes spring transfer, i though so but reading on here i am not sure anymore.

and then in November to UCB in hopes of attending in the Fall of 07.

My major is econ or a double major in math and econ.. depends which one of the shchools i go to .

UCSD is really the backup, as its guranteed admission. If i go to UCSD i will do a double major in math and econ, not the joint degree but actually two individual majors.

My gpa is right now 3.68 , and should be 3.75 once i finish this fall semester. Thats UC gpa, my school gpa is about 3.89 or so.
