I am attending Pace University, for full time financial aid status they require you take at least 12 or more credits. I am correctly taking 9 credits (3 classes), what kind of effect will this place on my financial aid? I noticed when i search online,it seems that i am a 3/4 time and/or part time student.

When i log into my account, the only data i see is for full time for the fall semester which includes:
Direct Stafford Loan I Fl-Sp = $1,742.00
Direct Unsub Stafford Fl-Sp = $2,985.00
Federal Pell Grant = $800.00
Pace Grant - Continuing = $5,225.00
Federal SEOG L = $200.00
NYS Tuition Assistance Program = $1,760.50

The estimated cost of attendance is $41,696.00 for the fall 2011-spring 2012 semester. For the fall 2011 semester, i am only taking 9 credits and for the spring 2012 semester i plan on taking 12 or more credits

can someone give me an estimate of how attending 9 credits will affect the fall 2011 financial aid? It will not be until tuesday-wednesday when i can contact the FA office at school

It will reduce the Pell for sure. You will get 3/4 of it.

You would need to check about the other school/state specific grants. I had a quick look at the TAP site and it looks like you would only get 3/4 of that as well. And according to the Pace web site you must be enrolled full time to get the PACE grant.
So you may lose that altogether.

I would suggest talking to them ASAP to see what effect the part time status will have. You may need to change your plans as you could lose a huge chunk of FA grant money.
