<p>so since i've been back i've tried going to socials sponsored by residence halls and transfer student association, all to no avail. when i went there, there was hardly anyone there and it seemed pretty lame. so i just didn't go and came back, do a lot of undergrads usually not attend these type of functions? and are they not a good way to meet people? seems everytime i try going to one it is super lame and no one even bothers going.</p>
<p>it depends on how much school spirit the students have for various activities and whether they’re busy or not. When I lived in the dorms last year and they hosted a social, the building where our dorm social was held became packed after the first hour, so at my school, dorm socials are hardly ever empty.</p>
