I'm currently attending two community college at once. I'm not sure what I should do when I go to apply at UCI. Would I still be qualified for IGETC? I'm taking chem 180 at coastline college. If I want to take chem 185 at orange coast college, would I have to submit my transcript from coastline to orange coast? (in order to take chem 185 it requires that you take chem 180 beforehand). I'm confused about this whole process. Much help would be appreciated :)

Generally with the CCCs you would “transfer” your credits from one to the other–that way you can more easily streamline things like pre-reqs to take another class, IGETC, etc.

Talk to the transfer office, they should be able to get you on the right track with these questions.

Unless the relationship is similar to saddleback and IVC. You do not have to transfer credits there. It’s best to call.

Bring an unofficial transcript to the counseling office and make an appointment or ask to see a walk-in counselor. IGETC-certified too once finished with cc.
