That is quite possibly one of the weirdestly constructed sentence ever. On another note, if you're so close, why not go for the 2400? And finally, everyone knows what Ivy admissions are like but most people could stand to take a few hints from people who have done it before.

ahhh stop arguing!!! it's not going to confirm or disprove the story.

here's what i've "heard": yes it is possible but highly rare. selective colleges have quota students. There are a certain number of students the must accept to meet them. this quota is supposed to contain students that don't quite reach the requirements but have potential. So if you have a school like Columbia or Harvard, there is like a 2% chance [According to my college counselor] that you can get in with low SATs as a quota filler. It sucks to know you are one but hey, its the college you're in that matters.

opinions, opinions.
if you know what you know for sure then believe in that. nothing to prove to anyone else. so why argue?

Edit:
Wait, hold on a sec. About the bad SATs=Lazy people? My score is really low. PSAT [55cr 56m 42w]. So I can pretty much say I'm not going to do well on SATs. But I was top 3 in 9th grade, and top 15% now. So I'm not really that lazy. Passing is 70 and we do actually have to work our bums off b/c our teachers are retarded like that. We rival stuyvasent in nyc at second place after them. Honors HS. Sooooo yeahhhh....

Why does it matter if the story is true? Whether it is or not, it's not going to change your chances at any school. If it's true, great. Just because they admitted one student with a 950 SAT doesn't mean they will suddenly lower their standards or let more people in.

Actually there is a formula:

win siemens, get an IMO gold medal, help kids in africa, be fluent in more language than HYP teaches, and take enough college courses to get a masters degree when you walk in.

Wow, you're right! How could I have not realized this earlier? It's so obvious. I can't believe this is all I had to do to get into college. :D

I noticed you never said which school.

Which takes away credibility from an already highly unlikely story.

I did better than that on the SAT as a 12 year old. Are you saying I could've gotten into an Ivy as a 7th grader?

uh...why should i believe you then?
