Did any of you not write an optional essay? I don’t feel like writing one, and the topics kinda don’t work for me. I’m lazy as crap. I’ll start writing an essay now, but out of curiousity, did anyone not submit an optional essay?

most ED people used the Penn-specific application, which doesn't have any optional essays

i second that

penn apppppppppppppppp

Did the Penn app only have the two essays? Thats probably why it was optional on the Common app, you have to write a personal statement for the common app too. I just rewrote another essay for the optional one. Yay! I'm pretty much done, unless I apply to tufts or CMU, which I just decided to not do, so I'm DONE!!!!! YAY!!!!!

I thought about using the Penn App, but I already mailed out recommendations using the Common App format. Is it okay to have Common App recs and a Penn App or it look like last minute, I'd-rather-die-than-write-another-essay desperation?

thts what i did ED, and my gc said thats fine ....

yes...I think it will be fine. vinny is living proof. She got in, after all.

he! and yep i am living proof

and 666 posts freaks me out so i am posting hereeeeeeee again blahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

oooh you just got mistaken for a girl!

god knows what sristi is thinking about =)....
