Attention: Financial Aid Deadline has NOT been extended

I checked with the university, the extension to Jan 7 is for the app only.
The financial aid form and tax returns are due postmarked TODAY.
Sorry to be the bringer of bad news on my first post, but some of the misinfo here could screw people over

so, this is for sure? So, basically, if i haven't sent it yet, what happens? Should I still send the 1040 and all that just in case? Thanks

you probably won't be penalized on FA if it's late. If they're not extending the deadline, it's simply because they want the material in, not so they can trick you into not getting FA. Send it in the next couple days is my advice.

Do you know if the deadline includes the BUFS form?

Is it possible to get accepted without sending in FA forms or information? Are they neccessary or just neccessary for need-based aid?

Er, you can get accepted, but if you don't send it in at all, not even late, you won't get money.

ugh. i just found out yesterday about this fin aid stuff.. (a noob when it comes to fin aid..)
Isn't today (1/2) a federal holiday?
i hope the post office still works....

post office isn't open today

Dang this financial aid deadline.... Whatever, I guess the best we can do is send it Tuesday.

^same boat

How are you sure the Fin Aid isn't due tomorrow?

"Attention: The deadline for submitting your freshman application has been extended to January 7, 2006 (must be postmarked by that date). Alternatively, you may apply online until January 7, 2006."

The fin. aid sheet and tax forms are part of the freshman application.
No?

I'm curious about where this news about a deadline extension is coming from. I can't find any official source, but Eddie seems to have. Where's that from?

EDIT: nevermind.
