Attention: Future ivy league hopefuls

Hey everyone, I have a couple of questions/concerns that hopefully some of you can address.

1) Princeton and Harvard are getting SCEA next year. How will this affect acceptance rates/applicant numbers to these schools and other schools (top tier). Will SCEA applicants for Yale and Stanford go down? Does that mean acceptance rates for Yale and Stanford will go up? Will the number of applicants to Princeton and Harvard go up overall? Will acceptance rates go up/stay the same? (What will be the acceptance rates for SCEA versus regular decision for H & P?)
Is it easier to get in early action versus regular decision? (I know some people say its not, but I'm still not convinced...)

2) Acceptance rates for all top colleges have been downwards sloping for the past few years (due to the increasing # of applicants). Is it just as easy to get in (i.e. are the new applicants not qualified anyway) or is it significantly more competitive? Is it likely that this will continue in the next years as well? Will rates ever go back up? I'm worried. :(

THANK YOU ALL!

Yale had a 13.8% SCEA acceptance rate compared to a ~8% RD acceptance rate. Keep in mind, most athletic recruits and strong legacy students who apply early may get in and this is not accounted for in the acceptance rates

I wonder between Yale and P next year, which school will have more people applying SCEA
