Attention UCSD Bio students! I need your help!

First, a little background about myself: Transferring from a CCC, 3.8 GPA, IGETC completed, initially thought I was going to major in economics then changed my mind to bio-related field the middle of sophomore year.

So I was somehow admitted to UCSD as a Physiology & Neuroscience major but the problem is that I have nearly no prerequisite classes completed. I've completed calculus 2 and the first half of general chemistry. That's it. I've mapped out possible scenarios to complete the major in 2 years and every quarter would include 3-4 classes in the sciences (for example: every quarter my first year would have a bio, chem, physics, and one quarter with calculus 3).

My question is: how feasible is it to complete a bio major with almost no prerequisites completed? If anyone has experience with this type of situation I would really appreciate your feedback. Thanks for you time!

Do you have to complete it in 2 years? One concern about this schedule is the labs involved with many science classes. They take up a considerable amount of extra time. Taking several science classes with labs would be a very large credit load a semester. In addition, as a science major, you would want to make time for research. This can be done for credit but it is additional time and credit on top of your existing schedule. This doesn’t only pertain to UCSD but for any college where one is starting out with little to no prerequisites. Your CC classes are great for counting towards general education credits, but completing a science major from the beginning in 2 years may be an unreasonable expectation, and if you wish to give it your best, I’d consider a longer time.
